Detroit Mercy welcomes students to campus

President Antoine M. Garibaldi and new students line up to start first-year convocation.

Detroit Mercy is thrilled to welcome our new and returning students to our three campuses for the 2021-22 academic year.

Our newest Titans officially began their academic careers last week during freshman move-in day and Detroit Mercy’s orientation program, Prologues, Transitions and Viewpoints (PTV). Incoming freshmen and their families participated in first-year convocation, where they were introduced to University administrators and could mingle over a tasty outdoor lunch. New students experienced the University’s mission firsthand by performing service work with current students, employees and alumni to enhance neighborhoods in northwest Detroit.
